2nd attempt: do or dye

25/6/21
I bought a jacket online that was described as “size large”, but when it arrived it was a size 14, alas too small for me, you can read all about it here . Today another jacket arrived in the post, this time it does fit, hurrah.

I’m going to embellish it with some of the dyed linens left over from the previous jacket. I will dye the new jacket the same colour. I called it Tropical Blue in the previous post, but I’ve just noticed it is actually called Paradise Blue.

So here it is dyed Paradise Blue along with some assorted bits of doileys. It’s not so vivid a blue as the first jacket was, but I expected that because the original colour was beige rather than white.

Today I thought, I’ll get started on the jacket and went to get the other dyed doilage left over from the first jacket, but it appears not to be in the safe place that I put it in. Well , it might be, but it is no longer visible as it is now submerged under other stuff due to the catastrophic upheaval that occurs whenever I have to tidy the spare room so someone can sleep in it. So the jacket shall remain unstarted until I come across the bits I need for it.
I bet Vivienne Westwood doesn’t have to work under these conditions !

  1. Would you share where you ordered the jacket?

    1. Hi Anita, I bought the jacket on ebay, but it is from Marks and Spencers “Indigo Collection”, hope that helps!

  2. my “Losses” are not from “someone coming to stay” but rather things just disappear, resurfacing when I’m “searching for something else” …

    1. yes! and then I put it in a “safe place” so I can find it later, and then I can’t πŸ™
