…..and what I get up to in my workshop.
I customise items of clothing that I find in charity shops. I decorate and embellish them with fabric and turn ordinary garments into very special pieces. I’ve been collecting fabric for almost 30 years so I’ve got a lot to choose from.
I also add buttons to them which I make with my partner Steve. They’re made from resin which is a messy, sticky business so I leave that bit to Steve, and I do the arty decorative bits.
I also make textile accessories – scarves, bracelets and brooches.
Another thing I make is textile art to decorate you home, bunting, hooplas and framed art.
So, in a nutshell I’m a textile artist and a button maker. Pleased to meet you.
Love that jacket Fran! I wonder if there’s room in my wardrope for ONE more ‘Fran ‘Jacket?!
Hope I do well at Woolfest…………
Hello you. 🙂
Hey there yourself 🙂
Just gorgeous. Like myself you have a good eye for colour texture and design. Might see you one of these days. I am on a quest to create more work so I can sell perhaps at woolfest in a year or two. Keep up your scrumptious work. Look forward to meeting you one day. My husband is an artist. Paints mostly abstract but does other styles also. Julie Weaver. All the way from Llangaffo. North Wales.
Thanks Julie.
