I’ve been taking part in another collaborative project with 10 fellow members of a Facebook textile art group, and it finished today.
Back in October I made an A4 sized piece of fabric and marked 11 heart shapes on it.
In a previous project we made round brooches that you can see here
For the hearts we reversed the order they were sent in, so the person who contributed 1st to the round brooches was last to contribute to the hearts.… Read the rest

stitchin’ time….
Another month over, another month of (pretty much) daily Stitch Meditations under my belt.
I stitched for 24 days for at least 15 minutes every day on this piece of barkcloth curtain fabric.
I worked on a 7x7cm square each day, here they are in no particular order.

End of January 2019, how the heck did that happen?

We are lucky to have the very talented Ruth Zanoni Roskell as a member of one of the collaborative textile groups I belong to. I have long admired Ruth’s work which you can see here

Yesterday was day 100 of my posting a photo of a piece of work I have done in the past on my Facebook page and also on Instagram

I have blogged about the 2 previous projects here and here . I thoroughly enjoyed them, and was delighted to fnd another group of people who were keen to have a go as well. We worked on round brooches, each of us adding some textile art and then sending it on to the next person.… Read the rest

My relationship with Facebook is complicated.
I was strongly FB-phobic for many years until a mate gave me his password as a Christmas present so I could nosey on my friends and not miss any invitations to parties. I spent an obsessive few days delving into every crevice of everyone I knows activity/photos/friends/friends photos/friends of friends photos etc etc until I thought my head would burst.… Read the rest
catching up with myself….
A recent lightbulb moment lead me to realise, a decade later than everyone else, that I can upload photos from my smart(er than me) phone to my blog at the same time as I do it to Facebook and Instagram. This means, in theory that I might, maybe, hypothetically, be more likely to blog more often if the photos are already in place, all I need to do is add a running commentary on a day to day basis, perhaps.… Read the rest
