I took part in a Swapbot swap on the theme of “Doodle Bombed”, I sent this one..

and I received this one from Inge in Belgium.

I posted my card on Instagram and added the hashtag #doodlebomb , then I clicked on it and found lots of interesting stuff, including this site

Someone in a Facebook group said “Have you heard of “Mail Me Some Art” ?” and I had not, but I have now.
They have a blog
I signed up for it and have joined in my first swap which is on the theme of “Ascemic Writing” which I knew little about, but learnt from this blogpost
I prepared an A4 sheet of paper by stencilling with acrylic paints, leaving it to dry and then rubbing over it with different coloured inks.… Read the rest

A couple of months ago a friend gave me a bag of acrylic shavings which are a waste product of machining mouthpieces for the amazing whistles she makes. You can see them on her website and Facebook

World Collage Day

Back in May I stumbled across a post on Instagram that said “Did you know May 11th is World Collage Day?” I have to admit I did not. My interest was piqued though, and it came at a time when I was keen to experiment with other art mediums (aka avoiding tidying my workshop).
