Back in June I blogged about a collaborative textile art project that I took part in, read all about it here
I ended by saying “watch this space” for the results of the second round of the project which involves heart shaped brooches.
Today I posted the finished brooches to the participants, and this is a record of how they progressed from start to finish.
Here is the A4 piece I prepared
then it went to Jane Spencer who added this…then on to Kate Stuart…
henceforth to Ruth Zanoni Roskel
the it was Annie Mac’s turn…
next up was Carol MacDonald
then on to Angela Boyce
then it was Kirsty Mason’s turn
last up was me
I then made brooches from the hearts..
This was a fun project, and quelle suprise, we decided to do another one, and this time it’s not brooches …. watch this space for an update π
EDITED TO ADD : you can see more of my collaborative projects here..

It was such fun to take part in this. It’s great how they all end up looking gorgeous . Hope we do another round or two!,!
What a wonderful idea! The hearts and brooches on your June blog post are simply beautiful!
Fantastic. Started off thinking this is rather uninspiring and lack lustre set of hearts but love the way they transformed into such beautiful little objects. Well donw all of you. What a fantastic project to be part of.
I have so enjoyed this, and itβs been as much fun watching what others have done as it was to do my part. I hope we do another collaboration too. Thanks Fran for all your work and to everyone for you part in my brooch. Xx
Those are amazing and the idea is out of this world. Love it all.
I have loved taking part in the hearts project. Collaborating brings such surprising and interesting results. The brooches are beautiful and so different to the first collaboration.
Having a patterned background and being heart shaped perhaps had a different effect on us all π
Absolutely gorgeous Fran
Bravissime, tutte quante! Ognuna mette il suo stile personale e il risultato Γ¨ stupendo πππ₯°π
translation : “Very good, all of them! Each puts her own style and the result is gorgeous”
