A customer sent me this photo and asked if the jacket was suitable for customising.
Unlined, 100% cotton, a blank canvas, it was eminently suitable, although I have to admit that I am not overly keen on working with such light coloured garments, because I’m so likely to spill my tea/ get sewing machine oil on them.
However I decided to go for it, partly because the customer already had 2 of my customised jackets and partly because I hadn’t done one for a while and was ready for it.
With this colour of garment I think it’s important for the fabric I add to also have that colour in it, so the whole thing makes sense.
I chose some possible fabrics and sent this photo to the customer to see what she thought. She liked it, but asked for some blue to be included.

I enjoyed making it, and was happy with the result,
so I was really pleased when the customer said she loved it 🙂
